Remodeling a Full House
Remodeling your house can be a nightmare with children. Especially when you have so much on your mind already. Remembering to call the contractor, get the kids to school, have the files for your boss, can make anyone go crazy. Below are some suggestions on how to stay sane when remodeling a home full of children.

ROUTINE
In the chaos of home renovation, it will seem impossible to keep any routine. The kitchen is the living room, the bathroom is the closet, your bedroom is their bedroom. As a stress reliever for everyone, try to keep some routine. For example, eating together at the same time each day or doing something together at the end of each day as a family.
INCLUDE THE KIDS
Include the children in some of the smaller remodeling decisions. Let them pick paint colors for their rooms or their own chair for the kitchen table. When the kids feel like they are contributing, they will be more excited for the renovation and welcome the changes easier.
WHY? WHY? WHY?
Kids as a lot of questions. Especially when their house is being torn apart. Try your best to answer all of them. Doing so will make sure the kids understand what is happening and why it is happening. When they understand, they will react better to the changes which will be a massive stress reliever on yourself.
TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF
Children tend to mirror adults’ reactions. When you are exhausted, angry, stressed, they become exhausted, angry, stressed. Taking care of yourself will make the process more enjoyable for you and the kids. Working out or going on date nights with your spouse are great ways to step back and take care of yourself during the remodeling.
